LEIGH SALES

Leigh Sales, aged 48, living in NSW, is one of Australia’s best and most respected journalists and is well-known as being the host of Australian television channel ABC’s news and current affairs program 7.30.

Leigh is the face of ABC’s major events coverage and has interviewed every living Australian Prime Minster, world leaders, and celebrities such as Hillary Clinton and Elton John. Not only is Leigh a reputable journalist, but she is also a
multi-award-winning author, with 4 published books, co-hosts a popular podcast with Annabel Crabb, and is a mother of 2.

Leigh uses her status and platforms to advocate for all sorts of social issues such as gender equality, women’s rights, and bully & harassment in the workplace, she is a person that holds integrity, independence, and courage and will empower the Basque customer.

Leigh has appeared as a public speaker at the Australian Institute of International Affairs, Lowy Institute for International Policy, the Sydney Institute, and the Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne Writers Festivals. However, she hasn’t previously worked/collaborated with any brands, we still believe she is a suitable choice as she represents the Basque style as her workwear is modern, elevated, and feminine. Leigh is not known for historically collaborating with brands, the partnership with Basque will allow Leigh to share authentic content and messages that reflect her own voice.

Basque Ambassador

Leigh sales will be used as a Basque brand ambassador, where she will receive products from the Rebirth collection and share content posts on her wearing the styled Rebirth outfits to work activities, at the virtual catwalk, and on the YouTube video she will be featured in. Additionally, she will share the Rebirth story and empower her female followers. As Leigh is a Macro influencer, she will receive free Rebirth garments and will be paid for all her work.

Justification

Leigh Sales is a perfect ambassador to be the face of the new Rebirth collection, as a 48-year-old Australian mum, Leigh appeals to our core and secondary customers while also being a well-known face in Australian media, her influence will invite a wider customer base to engage with Basque. Furthermore, this partnership is suitable for the Rebirth collection, as Leigh openly shares and speaks about her experiences as a woman making a successful career while also facing many challenges, which ties to the rebirth message and collaboration with Global Sisters.
